TATTOOING
Tattooing was another common feature when it came to
American Indian body art. This was mainly used on the males of the tribes. They
mainly tattooed faces of important/significant people which they thought were
important, for example: Gods which they preached. The method of tattooing was
done differently as they carved into the skin and filled it with ink. Patterns
and symbols were also added to make it more of a sacred piece of art as it
would be there forever.
